Who we are
Vin & Miles is operated by RCBM Labs LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). You can reach us at hello@rcbmlabs.com.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, store, transmit, or have any access to:
- Your photos or any image data from your camera roll
- The contents of any VIN, odometer reading, or stock number identified by the app
- Your contacts, location, microphone, or any other device sensor data
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information beyond what you voluntarily provide for support
All photo analysis happens locally on your device using Apple's Vision Framework and Core ML. No image ever leaves your phone.
What we do collect
To operate the app and process payments, we collect minimal information through trusted third parties:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: When you make a purchase, Apple processes the transaction. We receive a confirmation that a purchase occurred and an anonymized identifier, but we do not receive your name, billing address, or payment method.
- Anonymous diagnostic data: If you opt in via iOS Settings, Apple shares aggregated, anonymized crash reports and performance metrics with us. This contains no personal information and no photo data.
How we use information
We use the limited information described above only to: deliver the app and any features you have paid for, fix bugs and improve performance, and respond to support requests you send us.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for advertising, analytics, or any commercial purpose. The only third parties involved in operating the app are Apple (for distribution and payments) and our email provider (for support correspondence).
Your rights
Because we don't collect personal data, there is almost nothing for us to delete on your behalf. If you have emailed us for support and would like that correspondence deleted, email hello@rcbmlabs.com and we will remove it within 30 days.
To delete data the app has created locally (your scan history, preferences), uninstall the app or use the in-app reset option under Settings.
Children
Vin & Miles is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
